Stephen was a homeschooled, pastor’s kid that used to hang out with the local school marching band for fun. To say he was one of the cool kids would be a massive overstatement. But he never let that get him down. He has kept his head down for the past few years, writing and recording music. And now he’s ready to go into the world and start sharing it. He started playing music when he was 9 years old because of a jet ski accident that caused him to lose hearing in his left ear. While in recovery for several months, he picked up his mother’s old guitar and learned to play. At the age of 13, he began writing songs and leading worship for his father's church.
Stephen now lives in Mansfield, Georgia with his wife, Anna. As of January 2020, he has signed a recording contract with Capitol CMG and is working on music to be released very soon. His alternative/ indie-pop sound is something very unique to the world of music. Stephen’s songwriting is something he uses to encourage himself and wants to encourage others as well. “Throughout my life, I’ve struggled with anxiety and discouragement. Most of the time I’m writing songs to myself. My hope is that the music can help others, as much as it’s helped me to create it."
